Hodge Lifetime MD moves on

Hodge Lifetime’s managing director, Jon King, has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Mr King’s decision to leave, which takes immediate effect, follows the firm’s recent decision to restructure its equity release division and cut back on equity release lending. He joined the company in 2000, becoming managing director three years later.

David Austin, managing director of parent company Julian Hodge Bank, thanked him for his contribution and said: “Jon King has been instrumental in the success of Hodge Lifetime over the past ten years. He was at the forefront of the organisation’s rebrand from Hodge Equity Release in November 2008 and has been largely responsible for making it a major player in the equity release industry.

“He has also led the launch of our new pension annuity business. On behalf of everyone at the bank I would like to wish him every success for the future.”

Mr King said he had enjoyed his time with the company but felt the time had come for him to move on.
